CORPS-COVER BOX (PKO)

Corps-cover boxes are made out of two elements.

One is the box corps itself, the second is attached cover. We made boxes by grooving greyboard, so that corps fits snugly into cover and cover itself has solid, sharp edges.

The simplest cover has 3 segments (rarely 2). Each part is wrapped with paper and endpaper. Wrap is the outside part which larger then greyboard and folded inside to cover any edges. Endpaper is usually 2-5mm smaller than greyboard and cover wrap folds.

Box cover can have different number of segments.

Regardless of the box type, they can be wrapped:

  • Decorative materials (decorative paper, faux leather, bookcloth)
  • Printed paper, often enhanced with UV spot varnish or laminating
  • Plain paper

Below are some examples of types of boxes we’ve made.
